AMK-News 2/2026 China
Exchange, Market Information and First-Hand Practical Insights
At its most recent meeting in Shanghai, the AG China took an in-depth look at the current situation in the Chinese kitchen market, as well as new communication formats, events and opportunities for exchange relating to China. The aim is to strengthen networking among members with activities in China, a connection to China or an interest in the Chinese market, to jointly assess current developments and to further promote exchange between companies, experts and partners.
The next step will be an AMK online seminar on 10 September 2026 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. German time via Microsoft Teams. The event will be held in English and is aimed in particular at members of the AMK AG China as well as companies interested in current developments in the Chinese kitchen market.
The programme brings together three perspectives. First, participants will receive an up-to-date overview of developments in the Chinese kitchen market – including relevant market figures, an assessment of the current situation and an outlook for the coming months. This will provide participants with a concise overview of the market environment in which German and international companies are currently operating in China.
A particular focus will then be placed on exchange from the market, for the market. Two AMK member companies that are active in China will share insights from their own practical experience: How has the market changed in recent years? Which developments are particularly relevant at present? What are the expectations for the future? And what specific challenges are companies currently facing in the Chinese market?
The programme will be complemented by an expert contribution from the China correspondent of Rödl & Partner. The presentation will address practical questions relating to doing business in China – such as legal procedures for exporting to China or entering the Chinese market, typical challenges faced by German companies, tax-related aspects and other relevant topics for companies that are already active in China or are planning activities there.
With this format, AMK is creating tangible added value for its members: up-to-date market knowledge, direct first-hand reports from companies and expert guidance on important framework conditions for doing business in China. At the same time, the online seminar represents another step towards further developing the AG China as an active communication and networking platform.
