Maximum flexibility at the hob

Mannheim. When buying an area or full surface induction hob, the spectrum of added value, comfort and flexibility is increased con-siderably. Including the fun of operation!

“Anyone wanting to acquire a new induction hob today will be amazed by the high technological progress and the comfort, the high design factors and the “intelligent assistance” for cooking, frying, simmering and stew-ing“, emphasises Frank Hüther, business manager of Arbeitsgemein-schaft Die Moderne Küche e.V. (AMK). The tried and tested advantages of induction cooking, that it is fast, clean, energy-efficient, safe and pre-cise, are accompanied by an additional luxury; the keywords here are area and full surface induction.
With four, five or six individual plates, area induction enables, for exam-ple, two to be combined vertically to form a larger cooking area. This can be used to house a larger roaster, a protruding pan or multiple small pots. And the best thing, these can be moved about the cooking area and re-positioned since the form, size and position of the cooking utensil is au-tomatically recognised. Because, when cooking with induction, only the part currently in contact with a utensil is actually heated. “You can’t get more intelligent and efficient than that” says AMK boss Frank Hüther.
It’s a fine thing. Feeling like a professional chef, being able to use three vertically switchable cooking zones and three different temperature zones at the same time. The chef can, for example, gently cook fish in the first zone, stew meat on the second and keep the sides warm on the third.

But for really easy and flexible cooking, the full surface induction hob is a dream. This innovation matches itself to the user and not the other way around. When it comes to full surface induction, it doesn’t matter where the individual cooking utensils are positioned, the entire ceramic glass top is a single XXL cooking zone. Intelligent micro-module technology (mi-cro-inductors) under the ceramic glass top are the key. These recognise differently sized utensils on the top no matter where they are pushed to or placed. “This gives every cooking procedure a comfortable and per-sonal dynamic, enabling the user a new sense of freedom and extremely flexible cooking. Another benefit, operating comfort and enjoyment is provided by new high-resolution TFT touch displays which allow the user to visualise, for example, in real time what is currently happening on the hob” says Frank Hüther of the wonderful new options.
