2015 Strategy Day
Based on the AMK Country Information Days and in collaboration with members of the AMK Internationalisation working group, the first International Strategy Day took place on 19 May 2015. At the Maritim Airport Hotel in Hanover, around 80 decision-makers from the entire kitchen industry learned about important global markets for German kitchens. With the aim of providing a basis for decision-making in identifying key international markets and help in integrating these markets into companies’ existing strategies, the directors and export managers of the companies concerned met for an in-depth analysis of new target markets. Kirk Mangels opened the first AMK International Strategy Day with a review of the 2005 kitchen year and showed the changes in the volume of export sales of kitchen furniture over the last 10 years.
The unanimous conclusion: An enormous demand for kitchens is going to emerge in growing markets. German companies need to act early in order to benefit from this.
Follow-up workshops are planned in order to carry out further analysis of target markets of interest. In future, a special focus will be on the USA and Canadian markets, as well as those of India and Eastern Europe including Russia.
